Following the Nu Skin European Regional Convention on October 31st, Dr. Joe Chang spoke to a an energetic crowd of 1500 energetic distributors at the Global Partners Network Leadership Event. (Listen to the audio from this event) Here is a summary what he said…
AgeLOC is not about the transformation system, nor the ageLOC spa, and neither is it about ageLOC Vitality. ageLOC transcends a single product. It is a new idea and a new approach that we have created to take anti-aging to the next level. It is in fact game over for our competitors. The reason why I say that isn’t in jest but is said in a serious way is because if you are not looking at aging at a genetic level then you are totally missing the boat. It is so yesterday if you follow the previous approach of following the signs and symptoms of aging and then just cover them up whether with a skin care product or a dietary product. If you aren’t examining the products at a genetic level then you really don’t know what is going on anymore. Because that is where the science is.
When you look at ingredients in Vitality and they look familiar to you, ginseng, cordyceps, pomegranate and say to yourself, “Wow, I can put this product together”. I can go to the health store and buy these single ingredients and take them and then I would have Vitality, you would be wrong. Because you wouldn’t know how to blend these ingredients together. Our competitors wouldn’t know exactly what the ratio has to be to achieve the benefits you are experiencing with Vitality. If you mix the amounts wrong you won’t get the same benefits of Vitality. It is almost as if all of us we have been shooting in a dark room with a rifle and we hear a scream, we don’t know what we have hit. Now with ageLOC we have flipped on that switch and we know exactly what we are hitting. That is why the transformation system is providing those visual befits. These aren’t just lucky breaks, we actually knew what we were doing to achieve those benefits.
We as scientists are so excited about ageLOC because the science is creating a business opportunity that is unmatched and unprecedented in this industry. This is about the whole anti-aging industry. You have in your hands now the germination of an idea. You are seeing an opportunity that will last a long, long time.
Some of you may have had competitors come to you asking you to join their company because they are a ground floor company. They may tell you Nu Skin is old. Nu skin is tired. Nu Skin is a dinosaur. But if you stop and think about and ask yourself what is a ground floor opportunity? Ground floor to what? These “ground floor” companies have no substance, no science based products, haven’t issued their first check yet to your distributors. Nu Skin on the other hand has never failed to issue a check to a distributor who has earned a check and those checks have never bounced. With ageLOC it has taken Nu Skin to the next level. ageLOC isn’t about a single product. It is about a new opportunity. If you share the opportunity then ageLOC is going to grow and flourish.
Nu skin doesn’t advertise but Nu Skin does publish its scientific discoveries in peer reviewed journals. Much of the Vitality science is going to be presented in Berlin next month at a genetic conference.
John Sexsmith then jumps on stage and asks Dr. Chang some common distributor questions…
JOHN: There is a common question. We know about the Mitochondria and the nucleus. What can we expect next?
JOE: The reason we brought out Vitality first as a dietary supplement is because one of the early signs of aging is loss of energy. That is why we launched Vitality focusing on the three tissues that are absolutely important for energy production, the heart, the brain, and muscle. The next phase we will be going system wide. There are two more tissues that we are going to try to learn more about the aging process. For example the lungs and liver. We will see if there is opportunity for us to develop the next generation ageLOC supplement to include those tissues.
Aging is really about 2 factors. 1. External Factors. All of us are living in this world with environmental pollutants. All of us tend to take these in by breathing them in and they will be going through the lungs. We are going to make sure the lungs can somehow detoxify these external pollutants. And with the liver we can take care of the internal pollutants. Because the liver is the major detoxification organ. So with ageLOC if we can somehow find those genes that can detoxify related to the lungs and liver then we have something extra.
JOHN: I think we all agree that we can all build our business for at least a year with Vitality can we expect anything at the next convention?
JOE: (Hesitantly answers) Yeah, probably but I want to know how many of you are going to come?
JOHN: So, we have a wonderful future with new products but why do you say that this introduction of new products can last us another 10 years.
JOE: Because it is a platform. With ageLOC it is like we have developed this “aging google”. I now own this genetic search engine and I can go in and type in, “Can I do something about aging eyes”? And boom I can make another product on the other end. The sky IS THE limit! The question is “what product do I focus on” It isn’t a matter of “can I make the product?” It is a matter of “when” not “if”
JOHN: Competitors. Can anyone do what Dr. Chang and the scientists can do? Can anyone really come close to what we are doing?
JOE: I doubt it. The creation of the ageLOC approach took over 30 years of research related to againg. Our LifeGen partners they have spent their entire research career to reach this stage of understanding. So, if a competitor wishes to duplicate what we do they will have to spend the next 30 years doing that. 30 years from now we will be somewhere else!

DAG: I have one last question, one that I get a lot. Isn’t there a Nobel prize in our future?
JOE: I think there is. In fact some of the research that we are basing our science on the Nobel Prize was awarded last year to the basic research. It has been Nobel Prize validated science that we are using for ageLOC.
